Prayer Letter - September 24, 2007

Hello Friends and Family!

There is lots of excitement here in the DeWitt house as we observe God's power and creativity change the trees from green to yellow, red and orange. Abby and Anna do not remember this changing of the season and are so much fun to watch and listen to as they point out every leaf that falls, every tree that changes and every pumpkin along the road. Fall is our most favorite time of the year and we are going to enjoy fall here in Ohio after 4 years of no season changes!

Scott has officially begun his PhD program and is already much smarter!. He is enjoying it so far, but is it going to be a long, tough road. He is confident that this is God's plan and we have seen God's faithfulness through the whole process. He has also been asked to be the "Teacher's Assistant" which means more preparation and more hours per week, but it is a great honor. So, needless to say he is very busy and only going to get busier. This weekend he is preaching at one of our supporting churches in the area. The next weekend he is speaking at a men's outreach at our church on Saturday, and on Sunday he is teaching Sunday school, preaching in the morning service and giving a report of our first term in the evening service on. Mid-October we begin 6 weekends in a row of visiting and reporting to supporting churches. Most of the traveling will be on the weekends, but a few will be week-long conferences. We are praising the Lord for a few more contacts and positive feedback from our other churches! Please pray for this time of sharing all that God did during our time in Paraguay.

Dani and the kids are doing well. School is in full swing and the kids have adjusted really well. They do mention, however, about once a week that they are ready to go back to Paraguay! Zac and Abby are playing soccer on a community recreational league; therefore, life is very busy but fun! We have met some really nice people at their games and are praying about opportunities to share Christ with them. Dani is enjoying reconnecting with old friends and shopping at Target! She is working in AWANA on Wednesday nights and praying about some other discipling opportunities.

We pray that you all are well and enjoying the season change, too! We are so excited about spending time with you in our travels and sharing in person how great God is and has been to us!

Serving Him together,

Scott, Dani, Zac, Abby, and Anna DeWitt
